HOW TO BUY TICKETS

Tickets may be purchased on-line (see above). Please note, there is a $3 per order service charge for on-line orders.

Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Museum Box Office or by calling the Box Office at (919) 715-5923. Please note, there is a $3 per order service charge for phone orders.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are accepted on-line.

The Box Office accepts cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

MEMBERS' TICKETS

Members are eligible for free or discounted tickets to most Museum events. The level of membership determines the number of free or discounted tickets available to each member. Detailed information is available on the membership page.

Although members receive free admission to ticketed exhibitions, they do need a ticket to gain entrance to special exhibitions. These tickets may be obtained by reserving complimentary tickets in advance on-line (above, $3 service charge applies) or presenting a membership card at the Box Office.

LOCATION AND HOURS

The Box Office is located at the front door entrance of the Museum and is open during regular Museum hours. For events taking place after regular Museum hours, the Box Office opens two hours before the start of outdoor events and one hour prior to the start of indoor events.

Tuesday–Thursday and Saturday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Closed Mondays

POLICIES AND OTHER INFORMATION

ADMISSION FEE

There is never a charge to visit the Museum's permanent collection. The Museum does charge for special exhibitions and some programs, such as concerts, films, classes, performances, etc.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
Tickets for all Museum events are sold on a no-refund, no-exchange basis.
Refunds will be issued only if an event is canceled.

ADVANCE PURCHASES
Tickets ordered at least two weeks in advance may be mailed at the customer's request. Tickets held for will-call may be picked up at the inside counter of the Box Office. Tickets held for pickup on the evening of outdoor concerts will be available at a special table located outside the front door of the Museum that evening.

CHILDREN
The children's ticket policy varies based upon the event. For paid special exhibitions, children six and under are admitted free with an adult. For most concerts and films, tickets are required for any child six and up.

SENIOR CITIZENS
To qualify for a senior-citizen discount (if offered), one must be 65 or older.

TIMED EXHIBITION TICKETS
The tickets for special exhibitions are timed in order to control the crowd flow into the exhibition gallery. You can gain entrance to an exhibition beginning with the time listed on your tickets up until the next half-hour interval. Once inside the exhibition, you are welcome to spend as much time as you like.

SERVICE FEES
There will be a nonrefundable $3 service fee added to each order placed on-line, by mail or by telephone through the Museum Box Office.
